The 1st Regional Sports Festival of the PCF Network – Region 4, 2026

In implementation of Plan No. 523/KH-KV4 dated 27 August 2026 issued by the Director of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Regional Branch 4, the 1st Sports Festival of the People’s Credit Fund (PCF) Network in Region 4 was held on 3–4 October 2026 amid a vibrant and enthusiastic sporting atmosphere in Phu Tho province, the ancestral land of the Vietnamese nation. The event brought together more than 300 athletes representing 99 PCFs, along with teams from SBV Regional Branch 4 and branches of the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank).

The Sports Festival was a meaningful event held to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (13 October) and Vietnam Culture Day (24 November), while also reaffirming the strong and enduring ties between Co-opBank and the PCF Network as they enter a new stage of development.

Enthusiastic Competition, Spreading the Spirit of Solidarity

From the very first day, an enthusiastic atmosphere swept through the Kim Duc Pickleball Complex with exciting matches. Marking the debut of Pickleball in the festival’s sports program, the event attracted a large number of officers and employees competing across various categories for leaders, staff over 40 years old, and those aged 40 and under.

At the Phu Tho Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, Air Volleyball, Badminton, and Table Tennis competitions also took place dynamically, drawing enthusiastic cheers from a crowd of spectators. Athletes competed across various categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, as well as men’s and women’s team events divided by age groups. This setup enabled delegations to promote sportsmanship, exchange experiences, and enhance technical performance.

Over the two days of competition, the athletes competed in a spirit of solidarity, fairness, sportsmanship and continuous improvement, delivering many exciting matches while showcasing the sporting spirit and positive cultural values of staff and employees across the banking industry.

Honoring Outstanding Teams and Individuals

On the morning of 4 October 2026, the Organizing Committee held the Closing and Awards Ceremony at the Phu Tho Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.

Representing the State Bank of Vietnam were Ms. Truong Thu Hoa – Director of SBV Regional Branch 4; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tung – Deputy Director of SBV Regional Branch 4 and Head of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee; and representatives of departments and units under SBV Regional Branch 4.

Representing Co-opBank were Mr. Khuat Duy Tuan – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan – Director of Co-opBank Phu Tho Branch and Deputy Head of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee; together with representatives of several units at Co-opBank Head Office, Directors of Co-opBank Vinh Phuc and Lao Cai Branches, and leaders of the 99 PCFs in the region.

The event was also attended by Mr. Ha Quang – Director of Deposit Insurance of Vietnam – Northwestern Region.

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented trophies, flags, and Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals to outstanding teams and individuals across the four sports. In air volleyball, the SBV Regional Branch 4 team won first prize in the men’s team event, while the Viet Tri PCF team took first prize in the women’s team event.

Speaking at the Closing Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan – Director of Co-opBank Phu Tho Branch and Deputy Head of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee, noted that beyond the achievements recorded in competition, the Sports Festival provided an opportunity for staff and employees from participating units to interact, strengthen their bonds and foster a positive spirit in the workplace. The event also provides a foundation for further strengthening coordination and partnership between Co-opBank and PCFs in the region, toward the shared goal of building a safe, stable and efficient PCF Network.

Strengthening Connections and Partnership with the PCF Network

The 1st Sports Festival of the PCF Network in Region 4, 2026 was not only a sporting event but also an opportunity for participating units across the Network to strengthen interaction, exchange experiences and deepen mutual understanding. Through the event, the ties among SBV Regional Branch 4, Co-opBank and PCFs were further strengthened, providing a solid foundation for closer coordination in carrying out their professional responsibilities.

As the bank of the PCFs, Co-opBank has consistently regarded strengthening linkages, working alongside and supporting PCFs as one of its key responsibilities. The participation of Co-opBank’s three branches in Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Lao Cai at the Sports Festival further demonstrated Co-opBank’s commitment to working closely with PCFs in the region, contributing to increasingly strong and effective cooperation.

Although the Sports Festival has concluded, the spirit of solidarity, interaction and cooperation fostered among the participating units will continue to resonate, motivating staff and employees across the PCF Network and Co-opBank to strive for excellence in fulfilling their responsibilities and contribute to building a safe, efficient and sustainably developing PCF Network.
