On August 22, 2026, the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province organized the program “Unlocking Credit Capital – Creating Momentum for Business Development”.
In attendance were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan – Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Nong Quang Nhat and Mr. Duong Van Luong; leaders of provincial departments, boards, and sectors; alongside representatives from business associations, banks, entrepreneurs, and local businesses.
Representing the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank), attendees included Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh – Deputy General Director, together with representatives and department leaders from the Head Office.

Channeling Capital to Meet the Real Needs of Businesses and Cooperatives
At the program, delegates focused on discussing practical issues in credit access, ranging from loan conditions, application dossiers, and collateral to selecting credit products tailored to the operational characteristics of each business group. Exchanges were open and frank, aiming to strengthen connections between banks and businesses, deliver capital to the right recipients and exact needs, and maximize efficiency in production and business operations.
Speaking during the discussion session, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh – Deputy General Director of Co-opBank – emphasized that given its unique role as the apex bank for the People’s Credit Fund (PCF) system, Co-opBank considers accompanying the cooperative economic sector, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), and business households as one of its core operational priorities. Co-opBank not only directly provides banking products and services, but also utilizes the PCF network to help bring capital closer to individuals, businesses, and economic entities in agricultural and rural areas.
“We believe that supporting businesses and cooperatives in accessing appropriate capital is not limited to providing a credit facility, but more importantly, accompanying customers throughout their journey of developing production, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding markets. Each business and cooperative has distinct operational features and capital demands; therefore, banks need to listen, share, and design tailored solutions on the basis of ensuring credit safety and efficiency,” shared Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh.
“Co-opBank is ready to coordinate with local authorities, business associations, cooperatives, and relevant entities to bridge capital demand with credit supply capabilities. Through direct dialogue programs like this, we aim to clearly identify the specific difficulties and obstacles faced by businesses, thereby step-by-step building consensus and enhancing the effectiveness of credit connectivity,” stated Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh.

One of Co-opBank’s key priorities is providing capital support to businesses, cooperatives, and business households participating in the “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) Program. Accordingly, Co-opBank has deployed loan products tied to its program accompanying OCOP entities, generating additional capital for these subjects to invest in and expand production and business operations. Credit capital is directed toward practical demands and specific stages of the value chain — ranging from expanding raw material areas, investing in machinery and equipment, and upgrading production facilities to improving technology, developing brands, and expanding markets.
Through these efforts, capital not only fulfills immediate requirements but also contributes to enhancing production capacity, increasing product value, and promoting OCOP business activities in a stable and sustainable direction.
For Thai Nguyen province, a locality with notable strengths in agriculture, specialty products, and the collective economy, strengthening capital connectivity with OCOP entities will help leverage local advantages, elevate product value, and expand market reach.
Bank – Businesses Connectivity
Delivering directive remarks at the program, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan – Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee – stressed that credit connectivity must be substantive, contributing directly to the growth of businesses and the local economy.
Regarding credit resources supporting business operations and socio-economic development in the area, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan requested provincial agencies to proactively coordinate with Co-opBank to research and deploy concessional credit sources, prioritizing social housing alongside sectors and projects aligned with the province’s development orientation.
“The province’s spirit is to accompany and create favorable conditions for businesses to access capital. Provincial departments and agencies need to coordinate closely with banks to promptly resolve bottlenecks regarding mechanisms, policies, and procedures; while simultaneously exploring appropriate connectivity methods to deliver credit capital to the right recipients and exact needs, thereby maximizing efficiency,” stated Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan.
The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that the province will continue to promote bank–enterprises connectivity and promptly address difficulties in capital access. He also requested the State Bank of Vietnam Region 5 to enhance regulation, connectivity, and credit orientation — accompanying the province and the business community to create further momentum for production, business, and socio-economic development.
By participating in local credit connectivity programs, Co-opBank continues to affirm its role in accompanying businesses, cooperatives, and the collective economic sector. It further leverages its role as the apex bank of the PCF system, contributing to channeling capital to meet real needs, supporting production and business, and driving local economic development.
