In line with the policies of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on promoting national digital transformation, advancing digital banking, and expanding financial inclusion, Co-opBank has been implementing a wide range of synchronized solutions to modernize banking operations, enhance governance capacity, and strengthen its role as the central bank of the People’s Credit Fund (PCFs) network
Throughout this process, Co-opBank has identified people as the key factor determining the success of digital transformation. Therefore, alongside investments in technological infrastructure and digital platforms, the Bank has placed special emphasis on training and enhancing digital awareness, digital skills, and technological application capabilities for its employees across the system.
In 2026, Co-opBank continued to expand its online training programs through its E-learning platform, offering a variety of practical courses on digital transformation, digital banking, information security, cashless payments, data utilization, and emerging technology trends in the banking and financial sector. The courses were designed to be accessible and closely aligned with practical job requirements, attracting broad participation from staff at the Head Office and branches nationwide.
Through continuous training and development, Co-opBank aims to build a workforce equipped with a digital mindset, digital competencies, and the ability to adapt quickly to technological change. This serves as an important foundation for employees not only to effectively utilize digital tools in their daily work, but also to proactively contribute to the transformation of operating models, business processes, and customer service approaches.

To foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, Co-opBank also launched the “Learning about Digital Transformation in the Banking Sector” competition across the entire system. The competition provided a meaningful platform for employees to enhance their knowledge while improving their understanding of the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, and the State Bank of Vietnam related to digital transformation. Through this initiative, employees were encouraged to proactively update their knowledge, propose innovative ideas, and apply technology to their daily work.
Alongside training and internal communication efforts, Co-opBank has continued to invest in and enhance its technological infrastructure while developing digital banking products and services. A wide range of technology platforms and solutions have been deployed to better serve the transaction needs of customers and the PCF system, including the CF-eBank electronic banking system, Co-opBank Mobile Banking, Payment Hub, 24/7 electronic payment services, Co-opBank Napas chip cards, and modern payment connectivity solutions.
The accelerated adoption of technology has enabled Co-opBank to progressively improve service quality, optimize customer experience, and promote cashless payments. In particular, digital solutions have been developed in a manner that aligns with the unique characteristics of the PCFs network, helping PCFs gradually access modern technologies, enhance management efficiency, and expand their capacity to provide services to members and customers in local communities.

Beyond advancing digital transformation within its own operations, Co-opBank has actively participated in professional activities across the banking sector, including the Banking Sector Digital Transformation Competition 2026. The event provided an opportunity for Co-opBank to showcase its achievements in applying technology to business operations, governance and management, and support for the PCF system, while also learning from and sharing experiences with institutions across the industry.
Through various competition rounds, Co-opBank presented a range of practical solutions related to digital banking, electronic payments, modern financial service connectivity, and digital transformation support for the PCF system. These solutions were designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and expand access to safe and convenient financial services for people, particularly those in rural, remote, and underserved areas.
In Round 3, “Creating the Digital Future,” Co-opBank developed a proposal entitled “Digital Trust Driving Inclusive Finance” for submission to the Banking Sector Digital Transformation Competition 2026. The proposal was built on the view that “digital trust” is a prerequisite for promoting meaningful digital transformation in rural areas and throughout the PCFs network.
According to the proposal, digital transformation is not merely about applying technology; it is also a process of building trust so that customers and PCF members feel confident using digital banking services for deposits, lending, disbursements, and payments in a digital environment. Such trust is built upon accurate data, secure digital identification, transparent processes, convenient user experiences, and the direct support provided by bank staff and PCF personnel at the grassroots level.
Based on this approach, Co-opBank proposed a model built on four pillars: developing data and digital identity platforms; applying artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics; standardizing digital operating processes; and promoting a “phygital” model that combines digital technology with direct human support at PCFs. This model is particularly suited to rural customers, for whom trust, personal interaction, and hands-on guidance remain highly important.
A key feature of the proposal is its mechanism for scaling digital transformation from Co-opBank to nearly 1,200 PCFs nationwide through shared digital infrastructure, centralized data, Payment Hub, Open API, and AI platforms. This approach enables PCFs to access modern technological capabilities at a reasonable cost while ensuring security, consistency, and suitability for the scale of each fund’s operations.
As the bank of the PCFs network, Co-opBank considers digital transformation not only as an internal development requirement but also as an important mission to support PCFs in enhancing their competitiveness, modernizing operations, and adapting to market changes. In the coming period, Co-opBank will continue investing in technology, expanding training programs, strengthening employees’ digital capabilities, and providing greater support to PCFs in implementing digital solutions tailored to their practical conditions.
The achievements made in training, technology adoption, and participation in the banking sector’s digital transformation initiatives demonstrate Co-opBank’s determination to build a digital workplace, develop digital banking, and accompany the PCFs network on its modernization journey. These efforts also represent Co-opBank’s practical contribution to the digital transformation of Vietnam’s banking sector and the promotion of financial inclusion nationwide.
