In the context of deepening integration and increasingly intense competition in the banking and financial industry, a brand is no longer merely an identifier; it has become an intangible asset that reflects the reputation, governance capacity, professionalism, and credibility of each credit institution.

The brand identity of the PCFs network was widely adopted and continued to gain increasing recognition. Mr. Doan Thai Son – SBV Standing Deputy Governor, posed for a commemorative photo with leaders of SBV Region 4, Co-opBank, and VAPCF at the Ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of VAPCF
For the People’s Credit Funds (PCFs) network, the development and implementation of a unified brand identity carry special significance in the process of innovation, modernization, and sustainable development. This is not merely a matter of visual representation, but also a strategic transformation aimed at enhancing the position and stature of the entire system in a new stage of development.
In response to this practical need, Co-opBank, in collaboration with the Safety Fund and the Vietnam Association of People’s Credit Funds (VAPCF), researched and developed a common brand identity for the PCF system in Vietnam. The brand identity was designed to be modern, professional, and consistent while preserving the distinctive characteristics of Vietnam’s cooperative finance model – community-oriented, closely connected, and dedicated to serving the interests of its members.
This marked an important milestone, demonstrating the determination to build a unified, professional, and increasingly modern image of the PCFs network among the public, members, and partners.

In reality, the brand image of PCFs lacked consistency for many years, resulting in limited visibility and insufficient outreach within communities. Meanwhile, alongside social development and digital transformation, people became increasingly concerned about the transparency, modernity, and credibility of the financial institutions with which they chose to conduct transactions.
A unified brand identity system enabled the public to easily recognize PCFs as a nationwide cooperative financial network that operated extensively across the country, maintained close linkages, ensured safe operations, and developed in a coordinated manner. In doing so, it helped strengthen the confidence of members, customers, and communities in PCFs network in Vietnam.
More importantly, as the PCFs network accelerated its consolidation, restructuring, and operational enhancement in line with the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam, the adoption of a unified brand identity became increasingly necessary and carried long-term significance. Restructuring was not only about strengthening financial capacity, improving governance and management, or ensuring operational safety; it was also a process of repositioning the system’s image, rebuilding trust, and reaffirming its role and standing in a new stage of development.
Amid the ongoing trend of digital transformation and the standardization of banking operations, a synchronized brand identity also created favorable conditions for PCFs to enhance communications, promote their image, expand digital services, and strengthen engagement with members through modern platforms. A professional, consistent, and easily recognizable image helped establish positive trust from the very first interactions with local communities.
As the “bank of PCFs,” Co-opBank consistently played a central role in connecting the system, balancing capital resources, and supporting PCFs in operating safely and effectively. Its leadership in developing a common brand identity further reaffirmed Co-opBank’s role as a focal institution, providing direction and support in the strategy to elevate the image of Vietnam’s PCF system.
In addition to developing the Brand Identity Guidelines for the PCF System, Co-opBank worked closely with VAPCF to provide guidance and implementation support, ensuring consistency while remaining suitable for the practical conditions of each PCF. This represented an important step toward building a closely connected PCF network that operated professionally and developed in a coordinated manner nationwide.

During the implementation of the new brand identity, VAPCF has also played a particularly important role in coordinating with Co-opBank to promote awareness, encourage participation, and build consensus across the entire system. Through communication activities, training programs, workshops, and member engagement initiatives, VAPCF has helped PCFs gain a deeper understanding of the value, significance, and long-term benefits of adopting a common brand identity.
The close cooperation among Co-opBank, VAPCF, and member PCFs reflects a shared commitment and unified approach toward the common goal of building an increasingly professional, modern, safe, and sustainable PCFs network.
The consistent use of a unified brand identity is not only a responsibility of each PCF toward the system as a whole, but also brings substantial benefits to each individual fund. A professional, modern, and consistent brand image helps PCFs enhance their reputation within local communities, increase public recognition, strengthen trust in their deposit mobilization and service delivery activities, and improve their competitiveness against other credit institutions.
More importantly, by adopting a common brand identity, each PCF is no longer viewed as an independent entity operating in isolation, but rather as an integral part of a nationwide cooperative financial network, sharing common values, building collective trust, and jointly promoting the shared brand of Vietnam’s PCFs network.
In an increasingly competitive financial market, brand strength is not created by any single institution alone; it is built through the unity, solidarity, and collective efforts of the entire system. A consistent, professional, and modern image across the country will generate a far greater impact than any isolated effort.
With Co-opBank serving as the central connector of the system, the active cooperation of VAPCF, and the strong support and participation of member PCFs, the implementation of a unified brand identity – an initiative that has been widely embraced by PCFs will become an important driving force in building a more modern, safe, professional, and sustainable PCFs network in Vietnam.
