On the morning of May 18, 2026, the Vinh Long Branch of Co-opBank held the inauguration ceremony and officially put into operation the Long Chau Transaction Office at No. 156 E-F, Nguyen Hue Street, Long Chau Ward, Vinh Long Province.
Attending the ceremony, representatives from the Regional Branch 14 of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) included Deputy Directors of the Regional Branch and leaders of the Inspection Division, Supervision and Management Division 1, and Supervision and Management Division 2.
Representatives from relevant organizations also attended the event, including Mr. Dao Xuan Tung – Vice Chairman of the Vinh Long Cooperative Alliance; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang – Director of the Mekong Delta Regional Branch of the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam; representatives of the leadership of Long Chau Ward authorities; and Chairpersons and Directors of 29 People’s Credit Funds (PCFs) operating in the area.
Representing Co-opBank were Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam – Deputy General Director of Co-opBank, leaders of several departments at the Head Office, the Board of Management of Co-opBank Vinh Long Branch, and representatives of the leadership of Co-opBank branches in Tay Ninh, Long An, An Giang, Kien Giang and Soc Trang.
This event marks an important milestone in the process of consolidating and expanding Co-opBank’s operational network in line with the new administrative boundaries of Vinh Long province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ly Nhat Truong – SBV Deputy Director of Regional Branch 14 acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of Co-opBank Vinh Long Branch to the operations of the PCF system in the area over recent years. The branch has affirmed its role as the focal bank, effectively performing capital balancing activities and providing modern banking products and services to PCFs in the locality.
The inauguration and operation of Long Chau Transaction Office will help meet the growing demand for financial services among local residents. The Transaction Office will not only serve as a reliable destination for corporate and individual customers but also act as a trusted partner of PCFs in the region, thereby contributing to local socio-economic development.
On behalf of Co-opBank’s leadership, Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam – Deputy General Director extended his congratulations to the staff of Co-opBank Vinh Long branch and emphasized that the renaming of Tieu Can Transaction Office to Long Chau Transaction Office, along with its relocation to Long Chau Ward – the central area of Vinh Long Province – demonstrates the branch’s proactive adaptation to practical requirements, while reaffirming its long-term and sustainable development orientation aimed at improving service efficiency for the PCFs network, customers, enterprises and partners.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam also acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding efforts of the staff of Vinh Long Branch. Despite facing numerous challenges, the Branch has demonstrated strong determination and great efforts in successfully fulfilling its assigned tasks. Over the years, the Branch’s business operations have maintained stable growth, with non-performing loans kept at a very low level of 0.54%, while continuing to effectively support and provide assistance to 29 PCFs in the locality.
Co-opBank’s leadership believed that Long Chau Transaction Office will become an important link, making positive contributions to the common goals of both the Branch and the entire system. The Transaction Office will maximize its role as a direct connection point, enabling Co-opBank Vinh Long branch to provide timely support to help local PCFs operate effectively, while also delivering capital, financial services and digital banking utilities to local residents, thereby contributing to local economic development.
In the coming time, Co-opBank’s leadership will continue creating the most favorable conditions in terms of resources and mechanisms to support Vinh Long Branch in continuously strengthening its operations and achieving further development.
