In order to enhance staff capacity and optimize internal training processes, the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) has officially launched and put into operation its E-Learning training system. This marks a strategic step in Co-opBank’s comprehensive digital transformation roadmap, helping connect knowledge seamlessly across the entire system from the Head Office to branches nationwide.
A new milestone in the Digitalization journey
In line with the direction of Co-opBank’s leadership on innovating and modernizing training activities, improving the quality of human resources, and optimizing training resources across the system, Co-opBank has recently developed an online E-Learning training platform. On April 29, 2026, the E-Learning system was officially launched and deployed to all officers and employees throughout the system. On the same day, Co-opBank coordinated with its partner to organize an introduction and user training session on the E-Learning system for representatives of units across the system.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam – Deputy General Director of Co-opBank emphasized that E-Learning is a highly important component in the roadmap for innovating training methods, developing human resources, and promoting digital transformation within the Co-opBank system. In the current context, digital transformation is not only about technology, but also about people, adaptability, and continuous learning capabilities. A sustainable organization must first and foremost be a learning organization. Compared with traditional training methods, E-Learning offers many clear advantages, including learning anytime and anywhere, saving time and costs, standardizing training content, and facilitating assessment, evaluation, and learning quality management. For an organization with an extensive network and many member units such as Co-opBank and the People’s Credit Fund (PCF) system, E-Learning will serve as a strategic solution to improve staff capacity in a synchronized, rapid, and effective manner.

Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam – Co-opBank Deputy General Director presented key skills for adapting to the digital era and highlighted the benefits of learning through Co-opBank’s E-Learning system
The transition from traditional training methods to a flexible and modern training model is aligned with the digital transformation trend in internal banking governance. This approach helps save training costs, time, and organizational resources, especially for large-scale training programs, periodic training, and courses updating regulations, procedures, products, and professional operations. It also ensures that employees can access standardized and timely training content and are able to learn anytime and anywhere. At the same time, the system enhances training management and evaluation through learning data, test results, access history, course completion rates, and completion certificates. This supports the continuous and timely implementation of position-based training, onboarding training for new employees, retraining when employees change positions, and regular professional training programs, thereby equipping staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively fulfill their assigned tasks.

Co-opBank staff participated in training courses on digital transformation in the banking sector
On the very first day of launching the E-Learning system, Co-opBank organized the competition “Learning About Digital Transformation in the Banking Sector” as part of a series of activities initiated by the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, with the expected participation of nearly 2,000 staff members across the system. It can be said that the strong implementation of digital transformation in recent years, particularly in training activities and in Co-opBank’s operations as a whole, has contributed and will continue to contribute to building a solid digital ecosystem, bringing Co-opBank closer to its goal of becoming a modern bank leading the PCF system toward safe and sustainable development.
