On the occasion of the conclusion of the 2025 financial year, Co-opBank has implemented a nationwide program to visit member People’s Credit Funds (PCFs) and extend year-end settlement greetings and encouragement. This annual initiative represents a distinctive practice within the banking sector and underscores Co-opBank’s ongoing commitment to supporting PCFs—the core institutions delivering cooperative financial services and maintaining strong connections with local communities across the country.
As the 2025 financial year draws to a close, the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) has undertaken a comprehensive nationwide program of visits and year-end settlement greetings to its member PCFs. This annual engagement, a hallmark of the banking sector’s year-end practices, reflects Co-opBank’s dedication to fostering robust partnerships with PCFs—the foundational institutions providing cooperative financial services that are deeply integrated within local communities.
From early December 2025, Co-opBank’s branches and professional departments proactively developed comprehensive plans and assigned specific responsibilities to ensure a seamless year-end settlement process. Key tasks included reviewing and standardizing accounting records and documentation, reconciling data across operational systems, accounting ledgers, and financial statements, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness in full compliance with State Bank of Vietnam and Co-opBank regulations.
In parallel with core operational activities, departments and branches ensured adequate staffing levels, equipment, technical infrastructure, and contingency measures to guarantee the safe and efficient closure of accounts and year-end settlement. These preparations enabled the organization to maintain uninterrupted payment services for PCFs and members throughout the peak year-end period.
During visits to PCFs, Co-opBank branch delegations actively engaged with PCF leadership and staff, solicited feedback, and provided timely support to address challenges arising during the settlement process. Concurrently, the delegations recognized and commended the dedication, achievements, and strong sense of responsibility demonstrated by PCF personnel. The presentation of gifts and year-end greetings served not only as tokens of appreciation but also as meaningful gestures reinforcing the importance of sound financial management and governance at the grassroots level.
Co-opBank placed particular emphasis on maintaining stable payment operations throughout the settlement period by guiding PCFs in transaction flow management, closely monitoring high-value and unusual transactions, and ensuring strict compliance with regulations governing system security, risk management, and anti-money laundering protocols. Communication channels and guidance on transaction schedules and the safe utilization of banking services were enhanced to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient operations across the entire network.
Through these visits and year-end settlement activities, Co-opBank reaffirmed its enduring commitment to supporting and partnering with PCFs, thereby contributing to enhanced operational quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the cooperative banking system. This spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility not only addresses the practical financial needs of local communities, businesses, and residents but also establishes a solid foundation for PCFs to successfully achieve their objectives in 2026 and beyond.
