Recently, the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) – Phu Tho branch organized five Conferences for Cluster of People’s Credit Funds (PCFs) within Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang provinces. These conferences were not only an occasion to review the emulation movement and commend outstanding collectives, but also served as an important forum for exchanging and sharing experiences, strengthening the interconnection within the system, and contributing to the safe and sustainable development of the PCF network in the new period.

Diffusion the spirit of emulation, strengthening network cohesion
Implementing the 2025 work plan, the Co-opBank Phu Tho branch with local PCFs to organize five Conferences of Cluster PCFs in the area. This activity was part of a series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of Co-opBank’s establishment. Specifically: On August 25, 2025, the Cluster 1 Conference took place at the headquarters of Co-opBank Phu Tho branch, with the participation of 10 PCFs in Viet Tri City (former area); on September 9, 2025, the Cluster 2 Conference was held at Thach Son PCF, gathering 9 PCFs from Phu Ninh and Lam Thao districts (former areas); on September 12, 2025, the Cluster 3 Conference took place at Thanh Thuy PCF, with the participation of 10 PCFs in the western region, including Yen Lap, Cam Khe, Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, and Tam Nong districts (former areas); on September 18, 2025, the Cluster 4 Conference was held at Thanh Ba PCF, attended by 10 PCFs from Thanh Ba (former area), Ha Hoa, and Doan Hung districts (former areas); and on September 24, 2025, the Cluster 5 Conference was organized at Viet Quang town PCF, with the participation of 10 PCFs from Tuyen Quang province (formerly part of Ha Giang province).
The conferences were attended and directly guided by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tung, Deputy director of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Region 4, and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuy, Head of Supervision Department 2. Their presence served as great encouragement to Co-opBank Phu Tho branch and the PCF network in the region.
Within the framework of the conferences, the board of manager of Co-opBank Phu Tho branch presented awards to outstanding PCFs that had actively participated in the emulation movement and system-wide cooperation programs. At the same time, delegates also engaged in direct discussions on strengthening coordination, improving the effectiveness of capital harmonization, consulting, liquidity regulation, and the development of digital banking services – the key priorities in the current period.

Promoting the role of a focal point, accompanying PCFs
Delivering a directive speech at the conferences, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tung, Deputy director of the SBV Region 4, emphasized: “The PCF network has been and continues to play an important role in providing capital to its members, contributing to local economic development. In light of the country’s new development requirements and breakthrough objectives, PCFs are required to strengthen closer linkage with Co-opBank, comply with operational safety regulations, while improving governance and management quality, and diversifying products and services. In the coming time, Co-opBank Phu Tho branch should continue to promote its role as the focal point, accompanying PCFs in training, consulting, supervision, and technical support to ensure the safety and sustainable development of the entire network.”

Following this orientation, Co-opBank Phu Tho branch has proactively implemented various activities to strengthen connection within the system. In addition to professional conferences, the branch coordinated with the PCFs of Phu Tho province to organize a sports exchange event in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day (September 2).
At the same time, Co-opBank Phu Tho branch also collaborated with Viet Lam PCF and Vi Xuyen PCF to carry out an educational sponsorship program at Quang Ngan kindergarten and Dao Duc kindergarten in Tuyen Quang province, with a total value of 100 million VND, on the occasion of the opening of the 2025–2026 school year. This meaningful activity demonstrates the social responsibility of the cooperative banking system while spreading Co-opBank’s positive image to the community.

The series of Cluster Conferences of PCF and accompanying activities have clearly affirmed the determination of Co-opBank Phu Tho branch and the PCFs to build a strong and cohesive network. Beyond reviewing the emulation movements and honoring exemplary collectives, the conferences also provided an opportunity for the entire network to reflect on its advantages and challenges, as well as to define orientations and actions for the next stage.

It can be affirmed that the results achieved from the recent series of PCF Cluster Conferences have not only contributed to fulfilling the political and professional tasks of the branch, but also created a solid foundation for the stable development of the PCF network in the region, making a positive contribution to the advancement of the collective economy and cooperative finance in Vietnam.
