Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, on the afternoon of October 9, 2025, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Trade union of the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) presented a donation of 350 million VND in support of people in the provinces severely affected by Typhoon number 10.
The donation ceremony was attended by Mrs. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Representing Co-opBank were Mrs. Dang Mai Phuong, Member of the Board of directors and Chairwoman of the Co-opBank Trade union; Mrs. Vu Thanh Hang, Member of the Board of Directors and Vice Chairwoman of the Co-opBank Trade union; along with several representatives from the Trade union and Youth union of Co-opBank.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Dang Mai Phuong, Member of the Board of directors and Chairwoman of the Co-opBank Trade Union, shared: “Typhoon No. 10 has caused tremendous loss of life and property in many provinces, leaving behind deep pain and hardship for our nationals. In order to share these losses, and in response to the call of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, the Trade union and Youth union of Co-opBank have mobilized all officers, employees, and youth union members across the entire network to join hands in support.”

“Promoting the spirit of ‘mutual affection and support’ and ‘the good leaves protect the torn ones,’ today we present this donation through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This gift represents the sentiments and compassion of the Board of management, officers, employees, and youth union members of Co-opBank, as a small contribution to share the hardships faced by people in the typhoon-affected areas. We believe that the people will soon overcome this difficult period, get back to their lives, and resume production activity”, emphasized Mrs. Dang Mai Phuong.

According to Mrs. Ha Thi Nga, Co-opBank’s practical contributions not only help people alleviate immediate difficulties but also demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and compassion, encouraging communities to recover after the disaster.
Over the past, Co-opBank has carried out social welfare activities such as sponsoring education, medical support, providing gifts to disadvantaged students, building charity houses, and offering emergency relief in disaster-stricken areas. These meaningful acts have become a cultural hallmark of the Co-opBank, closely aligned with philosophy of sustainable development and community companionship. This donation activity once again affirms Co-opBank’s strong sense of social responsibility and highlights the active role of its Trade union in fostering and spreading the spirit of “mutual support and compassion” among all officers and employees across the network, joining hands with the entire nation to support people in disaster-hit areas under the message: “No one is left behind in times of hardship.”
