In early October, prolonged heavy rains caused by the circulation of typhoon No. 10 resulted in severe flooding across several areas of Ninh Binh province, causing significant property damage, particularly in Quy Nhat commune. In order to share the difficulties and help local residents soon stabilize their lives, a delegation from the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) – Nam Dinh branch, led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung – Deputy director, together with representatives of the Quy Nhat commune authorities and leaders of the Nghia Lam People’s Credit Fund (PCF) has visited, encouraged, and offered support to households affected by the aftermath of Typhoon No. 10.
The delegation visited and presented gifts to households severely affected by the storm and flooding, including Mr. Doan Van Trinh, Mr. Vu Ngoc Chinh, and Mr. Le Xuan Luong – all residents of An Lac village, Quy Nhat commune with a total support worth 20 million vnd.
During the visits, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Deputy director of Co-opBank’s Nam Dinh branch, shared that with the spirit of mutual support and compassion “the good leaves protect tattered ones”. He hoped these small gifts would help ease the hardships, lessen the losses, and support local residents in soon restoring their lives after the disaster. This also reflects the branch’s sense of social responsibility and its long-standing tradition of kindness that Co-opBank’s Nam Dinh branch has always upheld and spread.
Representatives of Quy Nhat commune authorities also expressed their deep gratitude to Co-opBank’s Nam Dinh branch and Nghia Lam PCF for their prompt support, noting that at a time when local people are still facing many difficulties after the typhoon, Co-opBank’s practical assistance is not only of material value but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping people gain more strength to overcome challenges.
