On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (August 5, 1995 – August 5, 2025), the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2025), and toward the country’s major national holidays, the Co-opBank Trade Union launched the “Trade Union Meal” program, receiving active support from grassroots trade unions across the system.
The “Trade Union Meal” is a meaningful and practical activity that reflects the responsibility and care of the Trade Union organization for the material and spiritual life of its members and employees, starting from their daily needs. It is a valuable opportunity for staff, trade union members, and employees to gather with unit leaders to connect, share, and foster unity, understanding, and strong trust in the Trade Union and the leadership of their unit.
Across the system, from Thanh Hoa, Ha Nam, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Gia Lai, An Giang, Soc Trang, and Tra Vinh, branches organized “Trade Union Meals” on the exact occasion of Co-opBank’s founding anniversary, creating a meaningful highlight imbued with humanitarian value.
At the branches, branch leaders directly accompanied the grassroots trade unions by contributing additional funding for the meals, helping ensure that the “Trade Union Meals” were of good quality and nutrition. Notably, Soc Trang, Bac Giang, and Ha Nam Branches had the initiative to combine the meal with birthday celebrations for staff with birthdays in August, enhancing bonds and shared joy, while Tra Vinh Branch presented meaningful gifts to staff on the occasion of Co-opBank’s 30th anniversary…
All activities took place in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the practical care of the Trade Union and the leadership toward all staff, trade union members, and employees. Participants expressed their emotions and joy at gathering together, conversing, and connecting after working hours.
The “Trade Union Meal” program has thus become a special highlight in the series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of Co-opBank’s establishment. Without extravagance or formality, these warm, affectionate, and united meals created a bonding strength, sparked pride, and inspired each individual to contribute more for the collective.
With responsibility, solidarity, and creativity, the program also clearly demonstrated the role of the Trade Union in caring for and accompanying its members and employees – those who contribute daily to building a sustainable Co-opBank.
To continue spreading the practical meaning of the program, the Co-opBank Trade Union Executive Committee calls on grassroots trade unions that have not yet organized a “Trade Union Meal” to promptly implement it from now until September 15, 2025. This is an opportunity for each unit to show care for its members and employees. The Executive Committee also encourages units to hold the program on major holidays such as the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) to increase solemnity and evoke national pride – as Co-opBank’s development journey is also part of the larger flow of the country’s history.
