In the journey of building and developing the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank), caring for the lives of staff, trade union members, and employees has always been a top priority. Every year, the Co-opBank Trade Union maintains many meaningful activities, among which, the commendation and rewarding of children of staff and trade union members with outstanding academic achievements holds deep humanitarian value, becoming a cultural beauty of Co-opBank.
This activity is one of the annual tasks organized by the Co-opBank Trade Union, demonstrating the care of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the Trade Union organization for the future generation. It is not merely a material reward but, more importantly, a recognition, encouragement, and spiritual motivation for the students and their families, creating a driving force that enables parents to focus on their work and contribute to Co-opBank’s development.
In the festive atmosphere celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Central People’s Credit Fund (now Co-opBank), on July 25, 2025, the Co-opBank Trade Union Executive Committee issued Decision No. 16/QĐ-CĐNHHT to reward 14 students who are children of staff and trade union members with outstanding academic achievements in the 2024–2025 school year. Among them, 1 student won Second Prize, 1 student won Third Prize, and 1 student received a Consolation Prize in the national excellent student competition; 8 students won Second and Third Prizes in provincial and centrally-run city competitions; and 3 students graduated with excellent academic records.
During the 2022–2025 period, the Co-opBank system was honored to have 5 students receive awards in national excellent student competitions, recognized by the Vietnam National Union of Bank Workers (VNUBW). Among them, 3 students who won Second and Third Prizes were selected to attend the “5th Commendation Conference for Outstanding Students” held by the VNUBW on July 31, 2025, in Hanoi. Being invited to a sector-level commendation event is not only a great honor for the students and their families but also affirms the quality of the academic encouragement movement that is thriving across the banking sector in Vietnam.
Ms. Dang Mai Phuong, Member of the Executive Committee of VNUBW, Full-time Member of the Board of Directors, Chairwoman of the Co-opBank Trade Union, and Mr. Cao Van Binh, Member of the Executive Committee of VNUBW, Chairman of the Board of the Vietnam National Credit Information Center (CIC), presented flowers and tokens to the outstanding students at the Conference.

Sharing in that joyful spirit, grassroots trade unions (GUs) across the Co-opBank Trade Union system also organized gatherings and award ceremonies for students who are children of staff and trade union members at their units. Each gift and certificate of merit presented to the students not only served as a recognition of their hard work and academic efforts throughout the year but also carried meaningful messages and encouragement from leaders, hoping that the students will continue to strive and grow into outstanding citizens, bringing pride to their families and the nation. This activity at the grassroots level not only serves as significant encouragement for the students and their families but also helps strengthen the bond between each staff member and the Co-opBank famil.

The activity of commending and rewarding the children of staff and trade union members with excellent achievements is a sound policy and a meaningful initiative that the Co-opBank Trade Union has consistently implemented, reflecting its care for the future generation, encouraging staff peace of mind in their work, and contributing to the sustainable development of the Co-opBank system in particular and the banking sector as a whole.
