On the journey to building a sustainably developing banking system, the emulation movements at the branches have become the flame that lights up the spirit of innovation, attachment, and aspiration to rise across the entire system. Along with the establishment of Emulation Zones (according to Decision No. 285/QD-NHHT dated May 19, 2023), where each individual has the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and contribute wholeheartedly, Emulation Zone No. 2 (Zone 2), comprising Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, and Bac Giang, has made a remarkable mark with its pioneering, innovative, and effective role in patriotic emulation movements, achieving many important milestones in financial indicators, service quality, and human resource development.
The emulation movement in Zone 2 has gradually become a driving force that motivates branches to fulfill their tasks. Along with strong determination and effort, the spirit of emulation has spread widely. In addition to striving to accomplish professional duties, the leadership of member units has also coordinated with Party committees, Trade Unions, and Youth Unions to launch emulation movements such as: “Studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh,” “Practicing thrift and fighting waste,” “The whole country joins hands for the poor – No one is left behind,” aiming to enhance awareness and moral-political qualities among staff, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of their work. Notably, the emulation efforts are directly linked to specific targets, focusing on work outcomes, creating noticeable progress across branches.
A noteworthy result is that all units in the zone have fulfilled and exceeded their assigned targets. Among them, Hai Duong Branch became a highlight with credit growth of 34.38%, NPLs at just 0.11%, and several digital transformation indicators surpassing planned levels. Bac Ninh Branch maintained strong performance with loan balance growth of 13.31%, an NPL rate of 0.05%, and 10 recognized grassroots-level initiatives, with one submitted to the industry level. Bac Giang Branch, though smaller in scale, demonstrated significant operational improvement with a 34.15% increase in loan balance, the lowest NPL rate in the region (0.03%), and 12 initiatives and numerous exemplary achievements. Hai Phong Branch also successfully achieved key performance indicators, with 15.37% credit growth, high labor productivity, and stable, efficient operations in a challenging environment.
In addition, the deployment of digital banking products and services such as Mobile Banking, payment accounts, chip cards, and QR codes has become not only a task but a vibrant emulation movement throughout Zone 2. Branches continuously sought and innovated their outreach approaches to bring products closer to customers, especially the PCF system and rural populations. The results are reflected not only in growth figures but also in increasing satisfaction and trust from members and customers, affirming the pioneering role of Zone 2 in banking modernization and service quality enhancement.
To achieve effectiveness in professional operations, the vitality of the emulation movement in Zone 2 comes from the efforts and strong determination of the collective branches in the zone. Bac Ninh and Hai Duong branches were commended for exceeding their assigned targets and contributing significantly to the system’s financial performance. Meanwhile, Bac Giang and Hai Phong branches were praised for successfully fulfilling their tasks and making notable efforts in operations.
With a vibrant emulation spirit, many individuals at the branches have stood out for their solidarity and creative dynamism in work and have been honored with the title of Emulation Fighter, along with many certificates and commendations from various leadership levels for outstanding contributions. The branches have effectively promoted the emulation spirit and achieved many accomplishments in professional work. The emulation and commendation efforts have created strong motivation and momentum across the system, helping to enhance operational efficiency and successfully fulfill tasks in the coming years. Especially, the branch directors in the zone were all recognized by the Headquarters as “Outstanding Leaders in the Emulation Movement of 2024.”.
In addition to achievements in professional operations, the branches in Zone 2 also paid great attention to implementing community-oriented activities. In response to Co-opBank’s social welfare programs, the branches made active contributions to charity activities, supporting poor students, giving Tet gifts to disadvantaged households, and assisting localities affected by natural disasters—particularly Bac Giang and Bac Ninh branches. These practical actions not only demonstrate the bank’s social responsibility but also help build the image of Co-opBank as close and connected with local people.
With the comprehensive and sustainable results achieved in 2024, Zone 2 identifies emulation as a continued key driver for development in 2025 and the years to come. The branches aim to keep improving operational quality, service quality, and fostering a vibrant and practical emulation environment to maximize the potential and intelligence of each staff member and unit. Outstanding examples, creative models, and an ever-renewing emulation spirit will remain the foundation for Zone 2 to advance steadily with Co-opBank on the journey to building a modern, efficient, and community-rooted cooperative bank.
