Alongside the sustainable development and dynamic transformation of the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank), the branches in Emulation Zone No. 5 (Zone 5), including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh, have made a strong impression with their spirit of striving to overcome challenges, fostering creativity, and continuously innovating. With close coordination in operations, the zone has become a bright spot across the entire system thanks to outstanding results in professional activities, emulation movements, operational initiatives, and community responsibility.
The emulation movement in Zone 5 is not merely a slogan but is deeply embedded in each operational activity and closely aligned with the political tasks of each branch. From the early-year emulation campaigns to continuous movements such as “Emulation for Credit Growth in Enterprises and Individuals,” “Technology Connection – Path to Success,” or programs associated with the 30th Anniversary of Co-opBank, all were methodically planned and implemented in a synchronized and effective manner, generating strong motivation and enthusiasm throughout the region.
From Practical Results
In 2024, Zone 5 recorded many financial indicators exceeding targets across the region. Among them, Thanh Hoa Branch led with a financial result of VND 133.5 billion, achieving 125.15% of the target, with credit growth of 25.2% and the lowest NPL rate in the zone at just 0.06%. Nghe An Branch reached VND 74 billion, completing 113.4% of the target; credit growth was 18.3% with an NPL rate of 0.33%. Ha Tinh Branch posted the strongest credit growth at 35.8%, achieving VND 34.1 billion, equivalent to 100.67% of the plan. Especially, Quang Binh Branch stood out with the highest capital mobilization growth in the region, increasing 37.4%, achieving 128.23% of the target, and earning a profit of VND 49.2 billion. These results significantly contributed to exceeding the emulation targets for 2024, affirming the status and operational efficiency of the units across the zone.
The achievements are not only impressive figures but also a testament to the strong shift in management thinking and practical operations, along with the close connection between the thorough leadership directives and the efforts of each staff member and unit. Digital services such as non-cash payments, personalized accounts, QR code applications… were not only widely implemented but also gradually changed customer transaction habits. At the same time, branches have promoted their role as the connection hubs supporting local PCFs, becoming a leading force in the digital transformation process and contributing to enhancing the quality of modern financial services across the system.
In addition, the promotion of initiatives and innovation in professional processes was also a highlight of the emulation zone. During the year, 14 initiative projects were implemented, clearly reflecting a spirit of creativity and encouraging innovative thinking among staff, while also improving practical operational efficiency at the units. These initiatives not only focused on professional areas such as credit management and NPL reduction but also expanded into digital technology applications, internal process optimization, customer experience improvement, and increased work efficiency.
Spreading from Each Collective and Staff Member
A prominent feature of the emulation work in Zone 5 is the close bond between leadership and employees. The movements are not merely administrative but are concretized into clear plans, goals, and criteria for each department and individual. Active participation from trade unions and youth unions has created a multi-dimensional, diverse, and sustainable emulation atmosphere. Branches have been recognized for achievements through emulation and commendation activities within the system and at the local level.
Besides outstanding commendations for branches, many individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter, certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and prizes in competitions launched across the system. Preliminary and final reviews and commendations were conducted accurately, timely, and meaningfully, helping to spread exemplary models and encourage creativity across the entire team.
Growing Alongside the Community
Another highlight in the emulation movement of Zone 5 is its community-oriented spirit. In 2024, branches in the zone effectively implemented social security activities, from supporting people affected by natural disasters, giving gifts to poor households, to organizing charitable programs tied to localities. This not only demonstrated Co-opBank’s efforts in social welfare but also helped build trust, reputation, and strong connections between the bank and the people.
With the comprehensive achievements obtained, the emulation movement in Zone 5 is truly becoming a “bonding agent” and a crucial driving force in fulfilling tasks. Branches continue to innovate emulation organization methods, enhance practicality and effectiveness, and aim to make further breakthroughs in 2025 – not only exceeding financial targets but also leading in digital transformation, customer service, and PCF development.
On the journey toward inclusive, modern, and community-oriented finance, Co-opBank’s Zone 5 is gradually affirming its position as one of the solid pillars of a dynamic, pioneering, and distinctive Co-opBank system.
