Throughout its 30-year journey of establishment and development, the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) has not only fulfilled its role as the bank for People’s Credit Funds (PCFs) but has also placed great emphasis on creativity and actively promoted the role of communications. These efforts have contributed to building trust among its member PCFs, customers, and partners.
In recent years, by continuously innovating and diversifying its communication materials to better align with the digital transformation trend, Co-opBank’s branding and promotional activities have seen significant and effective improvements. The Bank has actively promoted its image and brand identity, bringing it closer to PCF members and customers, and establishing itself as a versatile and modern bank serving both PCFs and clients.
Creative Thinking, Steady Steps Toward the Future
Co-opBank’s communications activities have been developed with a wide range of formats, offering fresh and engaging approaches. One prime example is the printed Internal Bulletin, which is distributed to Co-opBank’s branches, transaction offices, and nearly 1,200 member PCFs and partners nationwide. With its creative and flexible design and rich content covering the Bank’s activities, the bulletin stands out as a premium, professional publication in both form and substance. Each issue delivers useful, theme-based content to readers. In response to modern needs, the Co-opBank bulletin continuously innovates, with carefully curated content to ensure timely delivery of information. It provides updates on banking sector policies, activities of Co-opBank, the Vietnam Association of People’s Credit Funds (VAPCF), and PCFs.
In addition to the internal bulletin, Co-opBank’s official website (https://www.co-opbank.vn) is a vibrant platform offering continuously updated news about the Bank, the PCF system, and new policies in the banking sector. It features high-quality content and presentation from trusted and official sources. Other digital platforms—such as Co-opBank’s fanpage and YouTube channel—are also being actively developed. Notably, although Co-opBank’s official YouTube channel was launched recently, it has already received positive feedback for its published content. Most videos focus on digital transformation, fraud prevention, and user guides for Co-opBank’s products. Each video is produced with professional scripts and thoughtful execution, offering customers a diverse and innovative Co-opBank communication experience.
One of Co-opBank’s standout communication activities is the production and dissemination of promotional materials and advertising programs through mass media, introducing the Bank’s products and services. These include mobile digital banking (Co-opBank Mobile Banking), 24/7 instant money transfer, CF-eBank, credit products designed to support customers and PCF members, syndicated loans, and savings deposit offerings,… Product introduction videos, in-depth articles highlighting the benefits of digital banking services, and information about credit programs supporting PCFs are regularly published on Co-opBank’s official website, social media platforms, internal communications channels, as well as in banking sector and mainstream media outlets.
With its mission as the bank for all PCFs, Co-opBank has actively supported PCFs in communication work and brand development, such as organizing and promoting the Sports Festival for PCFs and Co-opBank in the Northern and Central regions, as well as the Sports Festival for PCFs and Co-opBank in the Southern region. It has also supported communication efforts to promote the brand identity of the PCF system at major national and banking sector events… Particularly in 2024, Co-opBank coordinated with the VAPCF to develop and finalize the Brand Identity Guidelines Handbook for the PCF system. For Co-opBank’s branches, the Bank has implemented support for standardizing brand identity and diversifying brand identity applications, such as assisting in completing signage systems at branches and transaction offices in line with brand identity standards, and rolling out guidance to ensure compliance with brand identity regulations for items such as leaflets, promotional gifts, and marketing materials at selected Co-opBank branches.
The year 2025 marks a significant milestone in the 30-year journey of establishment and development of Co-opBank, highlighting a path of continuous effort to strengthen and develop the cooperative financial system in Vietnam. Recognizing the vital role of communications in fostering connection, reinforcing trust, and enhancing brand image, Co-opBank has implemented a multi-channel communication strategy, combining digital platforms, the press, and community events to bring information closer to customers and partners. Notably, Co-opBank successfully organized contests such as the Logo and Slogan Design Contest in celebration of the 30th anniversary, and the “Co-opBank – 30 Years of a Remarkable Journey” competition. Through these communication activities, Co-opBank has not only promoted the image of a pioneering and trustworthy cooperative bank but also affirmed its role in accompanying and supporting the PCF system and the community, working toward a future of sustainable development.
Sowing Values, Reaping Trust
Thanks to a well-structured and continuously innovative communication strategy, Co-opBank has achieved many notable accomplishments in enhancing brand recognition and spreading its core values to customers, partners, and the PCF system.
The digital communication channels such as the website and social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube) have enabled Co-opBank to reach a wider audience, providing timely information on products and services, while also serving as a bridge between the Bank and its customers. In addition, close collaboration with press and television agencies has helped strengthen Co-opBank’s image, especially in its role as the apex bank supporting PCFs. The events and thematic workshops organized by Co-opBank not only deliver practical knowledge to the cooperative financial system but also foster connection among stakeholders, creating momentum for sustainable development. Thanks to these ongoing efforts, Co-opBank has been building solid trust and affirming its position as a pioneering bank in the field of cooperative finance in Vietnam.
