On April 12th, 2023, Cooperative Bank of Vietnam (Co-opBank) held a ceremony to announce the appointment of senior positions to complete the Co-opBank Management Board. Accordingly, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Minh – Member of Co-opBank’s Board of Directors was appointed to ve Co-opBank’s CEO; Mr. To Hoai Thanh – Manager of Co-opBank Quang Binh branch and Mr. Nguyen Van Giang – Head of Accounting and Treasury Department to hold the position of Co-opBank’s Deputy CEO; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc – Co-opBank’s Deputy CEO was re-appointed as a Deputy CEO.
These appointment decisions were issued by the Chairman of the Co-opBank’s BoD on behalf of BoD on the basis of the Resolution of the 2022 Member General Meeting, the Resolution of the BoD, and the Decision No. 415 dated March 27, 2023 by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and approved by the Governor of SBV.
Attending and directing at the Announcement Ceremony included Mr. Dao Minh Tu – Deputy Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Standing Deputy Governor of SBV; representative leaders of the Banking Supervision Agency (BSA), SBV Hanoi branch and functional departments and agencies of SBV; Representatives of the Party Committee of the Central Bank Authority, Vietnam Deposit Insurance, Vietnam Banks Association, Vietnam Association of People’s Credit Fund, “Strengthening the People’s Credit Fund” Project (STEP) and other media agencies.
Co-opBank’’s representatives included Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of SBV, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Co-opBank’s BoD, members in the Party Executive Committee, standing members of BoD, Supervisory Board, Management Board and managers/deputy managers of departments and centers at Head Office and 32 Co-opBank branches managers nationwide.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and Management Board of SBV, Mr. Dao Minh Tu – Deputy Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Standing Deputy Governor of SBV congratulated the comrades who were trusted by the Co-opBank and SBV’s Party Personnel Committee, proposed to be appointed, re-appointed and assigned new responsibilities; He also congratulated Co-opBank for now having a complete management board.
Mr. Dao Minh Tu – Standing Deputy Governor of SBV emphasized that SBV’s Party Committee’s approval for Co-opBank appointment from its own source has shown the interest and confidence of the SBV’s Party Committee in the quality of the Co-opBank staff. On behalf of the Party Committee of the Party and SBV’s BoD, he congratulated all comrades who have been trusted by Co-opBank collectives, the Party Personnel Committee, SBV’s BoD and Co-opBank’s BoD. He was confident that all comrades will promote their qualifications and capabilities, together with the Co-opBank team to successfully complete the assigned missions in the coming time.
Highly speaking of the efforts and achievements that BoD, Management Board, Supervisory Board as well as all officers and employees of Co-opBank have achieved in the past time in the role of supporting the development of PCF system and a management tool of SBV for PCF system, Mr. Dao Minh Tu set his expectation that along with the addition of leaders, strengthening the management and administration capacity, both Co-opBank’s BoD and staff will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, work together, and maximize all resources to overcome difficulties and drastically implement solutions in order to comprehensively fulfill business targets; renew, develop and improve operational efficiency in the spirit of Resolution 20 dated June 16th, 2022 of the 5th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of the collective economy in the new period.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, on behalf of Co-opBank’s BoD and staff, at the ceremony, received the comments and directions of Mr. Dao Minh Tu – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Deputy Governor of SBV. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Co-opBank’s BoD promised that Co-opBank’s BoD would strictly and effectively implement the directions for the operation of Co-opBank and PCFs system. In the coming time, Co-opBank would continue to promote the strength of the great solidarity, the collective responsibility of BoD, officers and employees of the whole system to focus and urgently implement follow the Resolution of Member General Meeting and the direction of SBV in operations, strive to perform well the missions and solutions mentioned in Directive No. 01/CT-NHNN and effectively implement the restructuring plan associated with bad debts settlement in the 2021-2025 period. In addition, Co-opBank would develop into become a modern, safe and efficient bank, worthy of its role as a bank of PCFs and perform well its duties and other missions assigned by SBV.
On behalf of senior leaders appointed on this occasion, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Minh – Co-opBank’’s newly appointed CEO expressed her most sincere thanks to the Party Personnel Committee, SBV’s Management Board, and the Party Committee State Bank agencies, Department of Personnel and Organization, Department of Accounting and Finance, Department of Banking Supervision Agency, Department of SBV, Party Committee of Co-opBank, Co-opBank’s BoD have trusted her with this important responsibility. At the same time, she thanked the Management Board, Supervisory Board and all leaders, officers and employees in the Co-opBank system for their trust.
Ms. Pham Thi Hong Minh committed to always abide by and strictly implement the regulations of the Party and State, and would inherit and promote the obtained results; dedication, dedication and best efforts together with the Co-opBank’s BoD to help Co-opBank develop safely and strongly in the coming time; worthy of the trust of the Party Personnel Committee and SBV’s Management Board.
