On December 13th, 2022, Co-opBank collaborated with the project “Strengthening People’s Credit Fund Network” (STEP) to organize the introduction of Co-opSmart application to Co-opBank branches and PCFs participating in STEP project.

The Co-opSmart application is under the Business Development Service (BDS) component of the STEP project funded by the Canadian government, jointly implemented by Co-opBank and DID. The goal of this application is to provide fundamental financial knowledge, financial management tools and strengthening the connection between Co-opBank and PCFs with their customers and members.
The key function of the Co-opSmart application is divided into two main contents: (i) financial tools such as cash flow recording, savings management, budgeting, production and business planning, loan calculation… and (ii) financial knowledge courses including business management, financial access, financial pressures. In addition, the application also has useful information such as news, weather forecast addresses of Co-opBank branches and the entire PCFs system.

Speaking at the opening of the Co-opSmart introduction, Mr. Nguyen Thac Tam – Deputy General Director of Co-opBank – Co-Director of STEP Project highly spoke of the necessity and benefits of Co-opSmart. He believed that this application would be an useful tool for Co-opBank and PCFs’’ members and customers by helping them gain access to financial knowledge and financial management tools; thereby helping Co-opBank and PCFs to better serve customers and members, especially in the agricultural and rural areas and contributing to the implementation of Vietnam’s financial inclusion strategy. This activity is completely in line with the general trend of Co-opBank and PCFs on improving the quality of products and services to focus on customers and members in the products and services development.
Besides that, the STEP project has designed communication strategy with marketing tools to serve the promotion, communication to customers… to support Co-opBank branches and PCFs to deploy efficiently the application to customers. The main message of this strategy is to position Co-opSmart as a completely different and friendly application in the market with a simple “open and touch” operation, thereby expanding knowledge to help customers managing finance effectively, building a happy and prosperous life.
Currently, Co-opBank and PCFs’ customers and members can download the application on App Store and Google Play.
