Co-opBank in collaboration with Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company (NAPAS), has developed and expanded electronic payment products, diversified non-cash payment methods to customers. On November 18th, 2022, at the Member Banking Conference 2022 held by NAPAS, Co-opBank was officially honored as one among five most dynamic banks in the implementation of many key projects with NAPAS.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung – General Secretary of the Banking Association, NAPAS Board of Directors and leaders of more than 60 member organizations of NAPAS were present in the event. Mr. Truong Tu Anh – Manager of Cards and Digital Banking Services Center attended the ceremony representing Co-opBank.
This is an annual event to review the results achieved by member organizations and NAPAS during the year, and to honor members who have made important contributions to the development of the payment network.
In 2022, with the goal of digital transformation and coverage of digital financial services to members of People’s Credit Funds, Co-opBank has actively and proactively coordinated with NAPAS to develop new services and products to customers: Convert 100% of magnetic cards to VCCS chip cards in accordance with standards and techniques and upgrade VCCS technical standards on 100% of Co-opBank’s ATM/POS devices; developing NAPAS 24/7 money transfer transaction channels via Co-opBank Mobile Banking application and E-Banking system. This is also a foundation for Co-opBank to expand products and services to PCFs and their customers with the companionship of NAPAS such as: VietQR money transfer (February 2022); Bill payment (May 2022); International connection with BCCard Korea (July 2022); Booking vehicle tickets (October 2022); Payment of VietQR on the public service portal (September 2022); Fast transfer of NAPAS 247 between Co-opBank and Mobile Money accounts (October 2022) …
The coordination and development of products and services with NAPAS has brought modern payment services to meet the payment needs of customers, especially PCFs – the special customers of Co-opBank. With the the achievements in 2022 in cooperation and implementation of many key projects with NAPAS, at the conference, Co-opBank was honored as one of the five dynamic banks in 2022 – the Dynamic Bank Award.
These achievements in the co-operation with NAPAS are the motivation for Co-opBank to continue to make efforts and to implement more products and services that can bring modern, safe and convenient payment solutions for customers, especially, to reach the goal of accompanying the PCFs in the digital transformation. In 2023, Co-opBank will further coordinate with NAPAS to develop more payment solutions, meeting the needs of customers, especially those in remote and isolated areas and those who have limited access to current services, such as Co-opBank NAPAS domestic credit card, Tap to pay, Withdrawing VietQR code, Linking social security accounts with Co-opBank accounts… reaching the common goal of “For a cashless society “.
