On July 12, 2022, at the Co-opBank Ha Tay branch, a conference was held to hand over the duties and responsibilities with the People’s Credit Fund (PCF) from Co-opBank Ha Tay branch to Co-opBank Transaction Center.
The Conference was attended by Mr. Tran Quoc Hung – Deputy Director of SBV Ha Noi branch; Mr. Nguyen Van Kiet – Deputy Head of the PCFs Management and Supervision Department.
On the Co-opBank side, it was attended by Co-opbank Chairman Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan – Deputy CEO in charge, Mr. Vu Ngoc Khuynh – Head of the Supervisory Board, Mr. Nguyen Van Tam – Chief Accountant and a number of managers of Departments and Centers of Co-opBank Headquarter. The Conference was also attended by leaders of Co-opBank Ha Tay branch and Co-opBank Transaction Center and leaders of 13 PCFs in 2 districts Quoc Oai and Thach That.
At the Conference, Co-opBank’s representative announced the Decision No. 254/QD-NHHT dated July 1, 2022 on the handover of duties and responsibilities towards 13 PCFs in 02 districts of Quoc Oai and Thach That from Co-opBank Ha Tay branch to Co-opBank Transaction Center. Accordingly, the Co-opBank Transaction Center will be responsible for taking deposits, lending, supporting, advising, monitoring and providing banking products and services to the PCFs, to members and officers of the PCFs and also perform other responsibilities and duties in accordance with Co-opBank’s regulations… The handover must be completed by July 18, 2022.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Quoc Hung – Deputy Director of the SBV Hanoi branch highlighted: “In the process of restructuring the PCF system in the whole country in general and the PCF system in Hanoi in particular, the handover of the performance of responsibilities and duties to the PCFs in Quoc Oai and Thach That districts from Co-opBank Ha Tay branch to Co-opBank Transaction Center is reasonable and well-timed. Thereby, it will strengthen the supporting role of Co-opBank branches in Hanoi for the PCFs system, at the same time, sharing the responsibilities and duties of Co-opBank Ha Tay branch in support to the PCFs in a large area of Ha Tay, Hoa Binh and Son La provinces”.
“Over the past time, Co-opBank and Co-opBank Ha Tay branch have performed well their role as the focal bank of PCFs, not only in capital regulation but in a short time, Co-opBank has deployed many modern banking products and services for PCFs, supporting the PCFs digital transformation. Co-opBank’s has done very well on inspection, supervision and warning for PCF network. In the coming time, SBV Hanoi branch will continue accompanying and sharing with Co-opBank, helping the PCFs system to develop effectively, safely and sustainably”, added Mr. Tran Quoc Hung.
At the conference, Co-opBank Chairman Nguyen Quoc Cuong acknowledged the efforts and achievements of Co-opBank Ha Tay branch in the past time. At the same time, he directed Co-opBank Ha Tay branch and Co-opBank Transaction Center to drastically give more efforts to complete the handover on schedule. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong also affirmed that the transfer will not make any affection to the PCFs operation in Thach That and Quoc Oai districts, and it will bring a new change, especially in digital transformation, and promoting the development of modern banking products and services for PCFs in the coming time.
“In the context that digital transformation is the target of banks, especially non-cash payments, with a network such as the PCFs system, it is very important to exploit and use the power of the system to perform cashless payments. Co-opBank has already a good payment platform to support PCFs. To strengthen the power of the system, Co-opBank desperately needs the support and companionship of PCFs network along with the attention and facilitation of the SBV. In the coming time, Co-opBank will promote digital transformation and provide modern banking products and services to support PCFs to develop together…”, emphasized Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong.
Mr Nguyen Quoc Cuong also thanked the leaders of the SBV Hanoi branch and PCFs in Hanoi for their care, facilitation and support for Co-opBank in performing its responsibilities and tasks. He expressed with the confidencence, solidarity and efforts, Co-opBank and the PCFs network will overcome the difficulties of the Covid 19 pandemic, support members to recover their production and business development.
