Within the framework of “Strengthening the People’s Credit Fund” project (STEP) funded by the Global Affairs Department Canada (GAC), jointly implemented by International Development Desjardins (DID) and Co-opBank, from April 19th to 26th, 2022, STEP project experts delivered onsite coaching on using internal audit toolkit part 1, new agriculture loan appraisal form and client care protocol for credit officers of PCFs participating in the project in An Giang, Dong Thap and Kien Giang. PCFs were selected for coaching based on a number of criteria such as their level of interest, level of toolkit implementation and level of homework completion on the E-learning online training platform.
Following training workshops in 2019 and 2020, the objective of these field trips is supporting PCFs in using toolkits developed by STEP project more intensively and effectively. After 2 years of Covid 19, currently STEP has begun to implement more field activities to provide support for PCFs and discuss with them about their difficulties, challenges and collect their recommendations for the toolkits.
In 2022, STEP has planned training activities for Co-opBank and 75 PCFs in the on internal audit toolkit part 2, internal audit report templates and the PCFs’ Report Management System – (PRMS) and etc.
