On the morning of February 7, 2022 – the first working day of the Year of the Tiger, Mr. Dao Minh Tu – Standing Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and other SBV leaders visited Co-opBank’s head office in Hanoi and offered their Lunar New Year wishes to Co-opBank’s leaders and employees.
Co-opBank’s Chairman Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed his deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the attention of the Party Committee and leaders of SBV to operations of Co-opBank as well as the PCFs system over the past time. In the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong reported to the delegation some of Co-opBank’s outstanding achievements in 2021. Despite the difficulties due to impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, Co-opBank has made great efforts to fulfill its role as the Bank of PCFs system and continued to ensure its safe and effective operations, successfully completed its tasks in 2021.
The above results were achieved thanks to the regular and timely attention and direction of the Party, National Assembly and Government, including the direction of the SBV; as well as the efforts, determination and creativity of Co-opBank’s leaders and employees. In 2022, in the spirit of the New Year, Co-opBank is determined to fulfill its political task as being the bank of PCFs system, making the strongest efforts to fulfill the business performance targets and contributing to the social and economic development of the country.
On behalf of SBV, Mr. Dao Minh Tu – SBV Standing Deputy Governor sent his congratulatory messages to Co-opBank’s leaders and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival.
Reflecting on 2021 with many difficulties and challenges for the country’s economy as well as the banking industry’s operations, Mr. Dao Minh Tu recognizes and praises Co-opBank for its efforts to overcame the difficulties, fulfilled its role as the Bank of PCsF system and achieving its business targets.
“Recently, Co-opBank officially launched its Mobile Banking app and NAPAS Chip card. Personally, I am also very excited and appreciate these two products. It can be said that this is Co-opBank’s important step, showing its drastic adaptation to implement the policies of the Party in general and SBV in particular. In the development strategy of the banking industry, the set out task of digital transformation impose both opportunities and challenges; the success will come to those who dominate the market through rapid digital transformation development. From there, Co-opBank has more products to ensure the responsibility, role and status of a focal bank in the system of co-operative credit institutions. Furthermore, Co-opBank will now have more products to offer, therefore attracting more customers and creating competitive edges for the PCFs system. This is also an important solution to enhance the position and role of Co-opBank as a focal point of PCF system”, said Mr. Dao Minh Tu.
With the results achieved in 2021, along with its long history, Mr. Dao Minh Tu – SBV Standing Deputy Governor expected that the entire Co-opBank system will continue to successfully complete its business tasks in 2022, focusing on promoting digital transformation and contributing to the overall achievements of the entire banking industry.
