Following 02 training courses on the PRMS system for Co-opBank’s head office staff under the “Strengthening the People’s Credit Fund” project (STEP), 02 online training courses have been organized for 31 Co-opBank branches.

During mid- November 2021, 02 in-depth analysis training courses on the PRMS system have been organized for 31 Co-opBank branches with more than 350 participants including branches’ leaders and staff of Credit and Member Services Department and Internal Control Department.

Under STEP, the PRMS system has been designed to support Co-opBank in providing loans; managing and supervising PCFs in order to help Co-opBank perform effectively the role of as the focal point of the PCFs system. The PRMS system exploits the data of PCFs’ operation reports which are in compliance of Documentary 2947 from the SBV dated 2nd May 2018. Using the data extracted from these reports, the PRMS then analyzes and produces 22 output reports which are divided into 5 groups, including: key performance indicators, lending, capital mobilization, capital intermediation and regulatory compliance.

The training content were finalized after comments from Co-opBank’s related departments had been collected. During the trainings, staff of 31 Co-opBank branches were guided on how to understand these reports. The trainees were instructed how to read, understand and exploit the reports to have the best evaluation and comprehensive assessment of PCFs’ operations. In addition, case studies have been carefully designed to give the participants time to discuss together, analyze the problems, give an early warning and find possible causes and solutions.

The PRMS system has been officially in operation since October 2020 replacing the CF-eMIS system. It has been evaluated as an useful tool to support internal controllers and credit officers at Co-opBank branches to analyze the PCFs’ performance when providing loans to the PCFs and also in assessing PCFs’ risks.
